Estimated completion time of the hike: 4:30pm LATEST

The rating of this hike is (6) Challenging

We park on the entrance to Lalaja Road and will be shuttled in to the start point of our trek. We start our trek all along undulating and a great dirt road with great vistas of the Central Plains to our right. We will eventually come at the end of the dirt road, and the road will eventually narrow down to a hike trail, and the forest will slowly engulf herself around us hereby giving us much need tree shade during the rest of our journey onwards. As we reach to our first turn off from Lalaja Road, average time for us to reach at this point is about 1 hour 30 minutes most.

From the turn off, we are now officially inside the Grand Caura Valley area and more undulating terrain along the way with the occasional ups and downhill through abandoned cocoa estates for the next 45 minutes will eventually lead us to the first waterfall known as "LALAJA FALLS". We stop here a bit for photos and those who have the desire to have a swim.

The last leg of our trek takes us to the most difficult part of the hike where we have to endure 30-35 minutes of constant uphill trekking until at last, SOMBASSON WATERFALLS.....we are here. Great swimming and relaxation here.

Departing Sombasson Waterfall, when we reach back to Lalaja Road, we take another route to get back to our transport which will be much shorter than the route we took, but there is an uphill we will have to negotiate, but in the end, that uphill leads us right to our waiting transport. Average time on this new route is 1 hour 15 minutes
