From the Pillars on the North Coast Road, we drive as a convoy to the little known "Fond Pois Doux Road" alongside the North Road. We drive on uphill and follow the road all the way along the concrete road until we finally reach to the "Mal D'Estomac Junction". We park right there and our walk begin. We first walk downhill along a very quiet road until a steep, but a long uphill await us. This Fond Pois Doux Road will eventually bring us to the main road of Paramin known as "Saut D'Eau Road". A final uphill will at last bring us to "Mt Vigie".....the top most of Paramin and we walk to the very end of this road where the ambience here is simply beautiful and here we are afforded the scenic view of the Caribbean Sea and the lonesome offshore island that is not inhabited at all.....it's name, "Saut D'Eau Island".
It is at this point, once the weather is clear, a beautiful sunset is afforded and great photo opportunities to your leisure. As the sky gets dark, we await of the full moon which is the feature at this spot, as here is usually very dark at nights, but with the presence of the full moon, here is memorable indeed.
Distance covered to the summit is just under 1 mile.
The altitude at Mt. Vigie is 2,100 feet
