Welcome to the very remote village deep in southern Trinidad where fishing remains the main source of income to the villagers living here.
In Charles Street, we park our vehicles opposite the Cedros Health Facility and from here, our walk begins. Trekking along the very quiet Charles Street where there are hardly any houses along the way. We approach a side road that brings us to the little known "Galfa Mud Volcano Site" that surrounds a small Hindu Temple that is now unfortunately fenced all around barring any entry from the general public. We continue along Charles Street until we approach a side track straight ahead which we take and that track eventually leads us to the Columbus Channel. Our beach walk officially begins. Pending on the tide, be prepared to get wet along the way.
