Rio Seco Waterfalls

Saturday 09th July

Meeting point: Exit Pricesmart, C/ Highway, ARIMA
Time: 6:00 SHARP
Cost: $100.TTD per hiker; $75.TTD - Kids 8-12 years
 

  • Great hiking trail throughout

  • One of the most scenic natural river pools in Trinidad

  • Life jackets for every hiker​

  • One trail inside, same trail we take on the return 
    ​

Lower North Oropouche Gorge

 Sunday 10th July 

Rating: 3 (Fair)
Maximum hikers: 15 (Fifteen)
Meeting point: Exit Pricesmart, C/R Highway, ARIMA

Time: 6:00am SHARP
Cost: $100.TTD  per hiker; $75.TTD - Kids 8-12 years

  • 95% river trekking through shallow waters all the way

  • The gorge has shallow and deep waters, ideal for the swimmer and non

  • Beautiful small pools along the way to the gorge

  • We hike back the same way we hiked in

100 Steps & Fort Abercrombie

 Saturday 16th July 

Rating: 2 (Easy)

Maximum hikers: 15 (Fifteen)
Meeting point: The Look-Out, North Coast Road

Time: 6:00am SHARP
Cost: $100.TTD  per hiker; $75.TTD - Kids 8-12 years

  • We take a 20 minute walk from the parked vehicles to the popular beach

  • Enjoy great bathing/swimming at this beach. We stay here for 1.5 hours

  • Fort Abercrombie is the ideal place for our picnic and sight seeing

  • Pending on the tide on the day, great swimming at this location as well

  • Beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and the Northern Range

Hidden Jewel of Matura

Sunday 17th July 

Rating:  4 (Moderate)
Maximum hikers: 15 (Fifteen)
Meeting point: Exit Pricesmart, C/R Highway, ARIMA

Time: 6:00am SHARP
Cost: $100.TTD  per hiker; $75.TTD - Kids 8-12 years

  • 45 minute walk on great trail to our low keyed pool

  • Great swimming away from the public

  • River trek downstream to the popular Mermaid Pool 

  • Swim a bit at Mermaid Pool pending on size of crowd there

  • 30 minute walk back to the cars from Mermaid Pool

Saturday 30th July

Rating: 4 (Moderate)

Maximum hikers: 20 (Twenty)
Meeting point: Entrance Mount Hope Hospital

Time: 6:00am SHARP
Cost: $100.TTD per hiker; $75.TTD - Kids 8-12 years

  • We drive as a convoy to Waterfall Road in St. Joseph

  • An moderate 40 minute hike to the tallest waterfall in T&T

  • Pending on the waterfall, a nice shower is definitely assured

  • From the waterfall, a east 20 minute walk will bring us at a beautiful small natural pool. Good bathing here

  • Walking in to the falls, we take the same route back to the cars

paradise bay

 Sunday 31st July

Meeting point: The Look-Out, North Coast Road

Time: 6:00am SHARP
Cost: $100.TTD  per hiker; $75.TTD - Kids 8-12 years. $25.Parking fee at Laguna Mar

  • 1 hour of moderate hiking from our cars to our destination

  • Great sea bathing at Paradise Bay

  • Your choice of beach swimming or actually swimming inside a cave

  • Cold refreshments on sale at Laguna Mar restaurant
